Wright’s Electric is an established family-owned electrical business since 1949. Founder, Clifford Wright started the business with a new Studebaker pickup and worked out of his garage at RR#1 Charing Cross, ON. Cliff was a WWII Veteran serving overseas with the RCAF and RAF as an aircraft radar mechanic. Upon his return from war, Cliff chose the electrical trade as his career choice, starting Wright’s Electric.

Wright’s Electric’s early work – besides all general wiring – included radio, TV, and appliance repair. Cliff became a Master Electrician.

In 1977 the business was incorporated as Wright’s Electric (Kent) Limited and Cliff’s son Brian and his wife Jane assumed operational control. The business changed location in 1986 to it’s current Chatham address and continues to offer specialty electrical innovation, construction, and maintenance.

Serving our community and working collaboratively with community partners is integral to our company vision. The following is a short list companies that we service across Chatham-Kent: Enbridge (Union Gas), Chatham-Kent Children’s Services, First Choice DKI, Beer Store, LCBO, Dollarama, and Shoppers Drug Mart, Tim Horton’s, Royal Bank, National Bank, CIBC, Winners, The Source, Sport Chek, The Andersons (Thompsons) and Bell Canada.
